Rock Cliffs boating warning.
At Rock Cliffs (Jordanelle) there is a cement wall of about 40-50 yards length that is about 250 yards from the dike and ramp. The wall runs parallel to the road. The current water level is such that it is barely submerged and represents a navigation hazard. There are no warning buoys. I watched 2 boats hit it today. Going along it in my float tube, there are marks where other boats have recently hit it, probably doing significant damage.

Unless you know where this structure is, I would strongly recommend that you avoid boating in the Northeastern part of the area for the time being. With water levels dropping, it should be out of the water in a week or so.

I caught you a delicious bass.

I've never understood why they didn't knock that wall over when they were building the reservoir. Bad enough that all of those tree trunks are in that same area, but they will eventually rot away. That cement wall will be there forever unless it is knocked over with some heavy equipment.

Yeah, I agree that it is enough of a hazard at certain times that removal would seem to be the safe choice. At least the area is wakeless and the boats weren't hitting it at high speed. However, I saw one "encounter" mark that was over some rebar that was sticking out. I imagine the hull of that boat was no longer pristine.

That said, Cliff is right. That wall is a fish magnet at certain times. I just hope nobody ruins their boat trying to fish around it.

As for the fishing, it was decent yesterday but is slowing down. Fewer bass and perch but some decent ones being caught with some work. A few pics from this week.

Confirmed, I was out there on Sunday just about hit in my pontoon and trolling motor. Lucky I was rowing due to the tree stumps in the area but if I had the prop down I for sure would have nail it.

As of last Sunday I didn't see any buoys or any markers
are the markers new ?

There are no markers or buoys, hence the warning here.

Is there any chance somebody could post a picture of Jordanelle marking the approximate location or the coordinates or something?
