Fishing Report May 12th British Columbia
Saltwater Fishing | Washington saltwatersalmon PM
Fishing continues to be hot for salmon and halibut. This continues to be the best early-season fishing we have seen in a very long time. Chinook in the range from 8 to 15 pounds are plentiful not far from the harbor. As the weather gets more consistent we will have more fishing days. And when the travel restrictions open there will be a lot of happy people I think.
Halibut have been in spots close to shore and further offshore as well. There are still a lot of ground fish around fairly close to the harbor. It looks like we will have good weather this next week so we are optimistic for the local trips booked.
If you are wanting to come on a fishing charter in Ucluelet with us in 2021 expect accommodation to be in short supply like these past few summers. This past summer was the hardest season yet to find accommodation. You can check out Ucluelet-Info.com or get one of our fishing packages available at https://www.salmoneye.net/site/fishing-packages.html. We have very little ocean view accommodation but still have some cabins available.
