Well it was an interesting day I had Saturday. The day went great I had caught 5 keepers and lost a really big one. All my fish came from a red-lipless crankbait. I said it was interesting and by now you probably just think that's normal. Well, here comes your interesting. Every single fish I caught and didn't catch was snagged. I didn't hook one single fish in the mouth. Since I was fishing a tournament I threw all the fish back in the water. I just couldn't get a fish to actually bite my lure. I have my treble hooks offset so my hookup ratio is better but I didn't think they would be like this emolaugh. It was very very very frustrating to say the least. I knew where the fish were I just don't know what I was doing wrong. It's like the bass were fanning my lure and since I had my treble hooks offset with an extra ring for twist they would get snagged. They were all snagged about the middle of their body, but closer to the tail. All my fish came from about 3 to 5 FOW. Water temp was 49.2 to 49.6 most shallow water places I went.
