Passed by Hyrum this morning to take a look. It's not prettiest I've seen. I know you can see pics on the Hyrum Dam Cam, but here are a couple pics from the top of the dam on the West end.

I also passed by Mantua but didn't have time to stop for a photo shoot. I couldn't tell what the edges were like but there was plenty of standing water on the ice.
If anyone has pictures or reports of Strawberry's current condition I'd appreciate it.

Thanks nice to see what it looks like... Ugly baby I'm thinking... Later J

Drove by Hyrum this afternoon. Between them letting water out of the spillway and the colder nighttime temps the edges seem to have firmed up a bit. I saw a couple souls fishing on the NE part off the reservoir. Use caution!
Here's a pic:

Thanks for the updated picture, I know it's been cold this week, was hoping for a little healing... However, my pond has only built about an inch of ice on the edges so I think caution will be required and maybe a plank and lifejacket... Thanks J

I agree with the plank and the life jacket. I wish I would have had time to drill a few test holes to report official thickness. Maybe some brave soul with more time than I've got could do that for us.
On a related tangent, it looked like there were about a dozen fisher-folk on Mantua as I went through the canyon this morning. I guess the ice season is not entirely over just yet.

Hey nice update on the Mantua ice as well. Looking a little better this week than last, but the warm and storm are on the way for the weekend so I'm not sure it will last. Hope I get to try it though. Later J
