Welcome to the site BW, I see you have found the Utah board already. What kind of fish do you target the most?

If it's swims I try to catch it. But in seriousness, I moved to Utah from Alaska so I am more interested in things that I've never caught before. Believe it or not, I didn't catch my first catfish until this last summer. So I'm still working on checking off boxes for all the fish in Utah. I've been here for about 10 years But I have only really fly fished up to this point, catching many browns and rainbows. Having bought a boat last summer I am now after other species. Whatever the reason, wipers and catfish are my current obsession although I did catch a nice laker up at bear lake before it capped so I will definitely be back up there!

Have you done the Utah 4 Cutt slam? Have you found the Utah Fly fishing board?

I saw a show on the cutthroat slam in Utah, I am assuming that is what you are referencing. I have yet to look at the fly fishing section.

OK, well here is a link to the Utah Fly fishing board: http://www.bigfishtackle.com/cgi-bin/gfo...?forum=140
Here is a link to the 4 cutt slam: http://www.utahcutthroatslam.org/
A few of us did the 4 cutt slam last year, got to see a lot of Northern Utah in the process. I think getting out to new places was more fun than actually catching the fish.

Welcome aboard BiggWimm. Thank you for sharing.
You are in the land of plenty. There are many species to catch statewide and many of them can be caught without a boat although the boating aspect is much funner. [fishon]
