I'm just looking for some updated snow/ slush conditions for fish lake? I'm headed down this weekend, and wanting to know of I should bring the sleds, snow shoes, or waders? Thanks

I was down at Fish Lake on Monday the 20th. The ice was 12" to 14" thick with 2" to 3" inches on snow on the ice. Not sure what has happened snow wise with these last storms but you can call the folks at Fish Lake Lodge and get the current conditions. That number is 435-638-1000.
Fishing for me was slow. I caught one 8" perch and one 13" splake. The weather was great. Temps in the mid 30's and very little wind. The perch were on the bottom and the trout were 4' to 5' under the ice.

I fished there Last Sat and Monday. Ice was good, edges were solid, no slush like the above post mentioned. 22 degrees in the morning, about 33-36 degrees when I left around noonish. Catching was great for me! brought home 3/4 5 gal bucket of perch on Sat (I limited my self on the catching), and 3/4 bucket on Monday (again, limited the size I would keep to 7.5-8" or bigger. I know they want them out of there but 1) I didn't want 3 hours of filleting. 2) I hate to just waste fish. The bite seemed to turn on between 9:30-10 ish. 14-20 FOW was best. Even caught them 14' down in 35-40 FOW! Used a Hali and waxie-perch eye. Trout catching was good also. Generally 10-20' down in 35-40 FOW worked. I was in 80' for lakers, still caught rainbows at 10-15'. Ended up working back shallow, caught splake in 50'. Catching was great on both days. Thinking of heading down again this Sat. unless Strawberry shows some promise. I was on the South end of the lake.
Good luck!
