Special note -

I fish in a 20' open bow boat and I have a Bimini Top. I have been wanting to ad clear plastic 3 sides of zip in windows for a few years now and I finally broke down and took the boat to Sugar House Awning. I had them extend my bimini a few inches higher and do 3 zip in clear plastic windows. The cost was $975. Yes a big chunk of change. But, I am here to tell you if you troll a bunch it is well worth the investment. It is so much warmer just cutting the wind. Like a wow factor. I trolled for 5 hours in jeans and a sweatshirt with the new top up and very comfortable. The last hour I went to the front of the boat and fished a crawler harness and used my electric and fishing in bibs a heavy coat and beanie and gloves and was nicely chilled.

If any of you debating doing this to your boat it is worth it. In my opinion.

I also added a hot and cold shower to the swim deck of my boat. Tried that out and that will be nice for camping/boating trips in the future. and for bloody Koke fishing.

Cheers

we must have the same boat. I do the same thing every year at the boat show: get the coupon, tell myself to haul it down and spend the money, to only back out cuz I'm cheap. Well, I better haul it down.

You got a picture of it? Sounds very nice... Later J

Sugar House Awning did mine ( I have a full enclosure, that covers the back) I don't like it. when it is cold it is hard to snap close, it gets in the way of the two back downriggers.

thanks for posting I'm going out to my boat right now and see if I can come up with something else.

in this picture I don't have the back end up.

I will take some pics next time out and post them.

As far as liking my top so far. I have used it 2 times now. Trolling it has been awesome. I have my down riggers on the back rail of my boat using gimble mounts. So I had Sugar House mount the side windows so I am still able to use all 8 rod holders on the back of the boat. I should be in good shape when trolling for kokes or lakers or when dragging boards at Willard. I only ran 6 rods at Willard since there was 3 of us in the boat.

Cheers

Sounds good, thanks.... Once upon a flotilla day I sure wished I had some covers, it was so wet and rainy that day.... Not terribly cold, but it was in May... Seen days on Bear Lake when a little protection would sure be great...I need to at least get a Bimini top... Later J

a three sided top has been by far the bet thing i ever got for my boat , now after 19 years my top is about worn out i will be looking some one to make me another this year at the show.

Did you get a new top made this year? I have had several items of canvas work done by Brian's Canvas in Freeport Center. Their work is great, and their pricing is more than fair.

i haven't done it yet thanks for the recommendation

This is latest project they did for me late last summer. Did a lot of additional reinforcing work I requested. Didn't charge any extra. (The embroidery I had done elsewhere)
