Anyone want to go to Echo tomorrow morning Thursday the 2nd? Spend a few hours on the perch?

Wish I could go again tommorow. I just got back from there. Did good for perch early in the afternoon (got there 12) but they shut off after about 3pm. Luckily trout kept on till we left at dark. Be sure and take a board to get on / off. First 10-20ft is pretty iffy depending on where you're at. Several spots we tried getting on were only 2-3" of rotten ice and my buddy about took a swim. Found one spot that was 5" of pretty good ice and we were able to walk on. Once on the main sheet it's 10+". If you get up there early I would bet you have a pretty good go at it [fishon]

I've never been there. I want to just go up and explore. Maybe find a place to get on the ice

This is usually where I try to get on when the ice is sketchy

Ok. I'll try that. My snowmobile ramp will be on the edge when you get there if needed.

How deep do you usually fish these perch at Echo

Most people get them in the 30' range

30 foot perch .That's a whale not a perch. So its a dumb reply I like it.

Hahahahaha [laugh] they grow em' big in echo! Lol but no 30 FOW is what I should've said! I was there today with Br250r, we fished in 27-35 FOW and reeled in 10 perch between the two of us in about 3 hours, not great but better than a poke in the eye!
