Does anybody know if the ice is gone and you can launch a boat?

My son and I stopped by East Canyon last Friday and did some fishing where the lake was open. It is not ice free yet unless things changed over the weekend. The lake only had open water where the streams come into the lake. By the way fishing was good.

I'm debating on trying to put the boat in this weekend up there... I have broken ice early season up there in the boat and fishing can be HOT if you can get to some open water! I wouldn't suggest it in a fiberglass or riveted hull though.

Ice is away from the launch, but 40" out its still ice. I would give it two more weeks; should be all gone by then.

Well I took my 12 foot aluminum boat up thinking I could break some ice to get around to where the river comes in, but I didn't chance it. Maybe next weekend I will give it a go again.
