A little late posting but better late than never. TheBoatGuy and I hit DC Friday targeting bass and with water temps just hitting 40 we couldn't get them interested in any of our presentations. Had some show up on the sonar but probably a week or two before the bite is on. Taking a break from the bass we trolled for a little while and picked up this thick brown on a black/grey flatfish. All-in-all a beautiful spring day on the water.

Pretty fish! A slow day fishing is better than a fast and furious day of yard work[Wink]

Hit DC on Saturday morning for trout. Lots of people out fishing from shore and from boats. we landed 3 RBs, but everyone we talked to had a slow day too.

Lots of boats anchored up in Charleston.

We tried all sorts of depths, speeds and baits. Nothing really worked consistently.

Still it was a beautiful day on the water.

When and where can you find the walleye on DC? What about perch and crappie? I'd love to catch some other fish on DC.

Hey Outfishing - Because we spent most of the time trying for bass I can't say how the whole day would have went for us had we just focused on trout. We probably spent a total of 30 minutes targeting trout and ended up with the brown and one bow.

Trolling at night has worked for my brother in the past when targeting Eyes. No panfish in DC but there are some, not many anymore, perch. Bass fishing should be picking up in a few weeks if the weather holds out.
