So me and a buddy went to Bullfrog and fished hard for LMB and SMB Sunday and Monday. Conditions and water temp were perfect (over 60* in some places) but fishing was very very slow. My question is if anyone on here was fishing the tournament that was going on Fri, Sat, Sun and had better luck. We went north to Good Hope Bay and south too. Caught fish, even a couple 4 lb Large Mouth but very few fish. Just wondering what we were doing wrong. What was working at the tournament, areas, lures ect. I noticed in the results of the tourney that some guys even got blanked so maybe it wasn't only us? But several boats also had good 5 fish bags each day. Just trying to continue to learn and get better. Thanks

That was either the Utah Bass Federation (FLW) or the Utah B.A.S.S. Federation Nation ( BASS) qualifier. You can go to their web site and get the results.
I've got the results. I was wondering if someone had done insight into what was working. We fished shallow, deep, North, South abs everything in between with limited success. A few of the tournament guys did pretty good though. Not all but a few

I fished the tourney and the North was the place to go earlier in the week, but the jig bite up North slowed way down on Sunday. The bass were in the back of the cuts and in and around the timber in clearer water. The winner stayed in Bullfrog and Halls. I caught fish all weekend using Maniac salt sticks in Green Pumpkin flake. Both on Texas rig and Wacky weightless.

I had the same experience last week, slow. I was fishing out of Wahweap. I ended up chasing stripers the 2nd day of my trip as I also only caught a few bass.

I read a report on Wayne's Words that said grubs are working the best right now, but didn't give much info on depth or location. The bass and 1 crappie I caught was on a curly tail in the back of Padre Bay, but like I said it was slow going.

Many of the people I spoke with at the ramp had the same experience. It seems those that are locating the fish are staying tight lipped

Thanks! That's exactly the kind of info I was after.
