Fished Lincoln today. Good day to be fishing. Wind was pretty calm most of the day. Caught 8 total but fishing overall was slow. Moved around more than usual. Most of the fish caught was at the mouth of Spanish Fork River( Sandy Beach). All caught on Scofield Chub. Water temp about 55 degrees.

Nice job on the Catfish, looks like its starting to turn on a little. Did you see any carp in shallow yet?

Water is chocolate in color. Can't see a foot into the water! There were a bunch jumping out of the water.

I was out there this a.m. about 6:30 planning to do some bank tangling near Mulberry Access. Wind was calm but the water was a bit rough for me so gave up and mowed lawn instead. I did notice the brown water... seems like it is like that after a windy period.
Saw one boat launching as I arrived at Lincoln... you??
My crew has been hitting Sandy Beach after school in kayaks and they have been getting a few nice cats over there. With the stormy weather comin' it might be a few days before we can get back on the water. Mid-60's temps will get here soon and then the slow fishin' will be hot fishin'..
See you on the water... lots of water.

It wasn't me that early. Didn't get on the pond until about 9am. It was 28 degrees in Fountain Green at 7:30 so was waiting for warmer temps.

I launched at 8:30 at Lindon with my bow and 1 pole in hopes I would get a few shots as I am running out of cat food. Did not see 1 close enough to shoot. Last week I could have had several as they cruised by but I had no bow.
I took my neighbor with me and he had several bites and landed 2 cats of the popular size. I had several close calls but was able to get away without having to remove a hook or put knew bait on. We left at 1:00. I went back out with my son at 5 and shook off the skunk with 26-1/4"!! But left the BFT logo at home. I didn't want to get it dirty anyway.
I hope to get out soon again but it looks like Mother Nature is beginning to sync up the weather pattern to my work schedule. I now use Kevin Eubank to determine my work schedule. "It's going to be a beautiful day tomorrow" means I am scheduled to work. "This wind is bringing in another cold front" means I don't.

[#0000FF]I had been following the weather all week, hoping for a day to head down and check things out. And when the forecast was for a "doable" Wednesday I almost jumped. Almost. The killer was the winds from the north for several days ahead of Wednesday. North winds are a killer for me at Lincoln Beach. They muddy the water and turn off the fish.
I didn't go. Glad I didn't. Watching and watching for the next possible opportunity. Will let you know. Still got some new chubzillas fer ya.

I'm a weather watcher too... don't see any fishable days for at least a week or so. I was doing very well fishin' Goshen Bay from the shore before the weather took a turn. Our time will come and then I will be happy to relieve you of those chubzillas. Me, Ice Sled, and the cats really like 'em. I've gotta find a good place to ketch a few big chubs... maybe Scofield when the ice goes. Always appreciate the ones you offer but don't want to be beholden to ya any more than I already am... which reminds me, any chance of bummin' a couple of RC killers from ya??
Good times ahead.
