Hello, I haven't posted much at all in the past mostly due to time and availability challenges. With that being said, I plan on starting to post more frequently. My partner (not affiliated with the CFF) and I fished the high school tournament Saturday out of Chester Frost. We drew solid, #2, and ran straight to the park. The wind was TERRIBLE, hurting my finesse fishing pretty badly. We started with a shaky head and a jig. Watermelon and red flake had produced the most during the week and rang true Saturday. We picked our first weighable fish up in no time, packed up and ran about two sloughs down, getting out of the wind and getting into some better structure. I hooked up on the second weighable fish, pulled her right off the bank under cover. After fishing about 100' of the bank line, we found our first bed. Quickly had 2 more weighable fish and several that were short. We had no problem finding and hooking up on fish until about 11 o'clock, we struggled finding size all day. I threw a crank bait for a while trying several different patterns with no luck, also threw a SB with no luck. All of our fish came on a shakey head with a 8 3/4" watermelon red flake worm, and a dark brown football head. All fish came in about 3-4 FOW. Had some big fish weighed in, with big fish at 10 and some change. We weighed in at 7.60 with 3 fish.
