Started out catching two short fish on a jig. Moved spots and noticed the water was really muddy. I figured the bass should be shallow with it being that dirty and it was a great decision. My first flip I picked up and felt weight. I set the hook and thought I was hung then I felt the line moving. Made a rookie mistake and started horsing it to the boat thinking it was an average fish. Once I got it to the boat I noticed it was a giant. Easy 10lbs I panicked and when she surged I held tight and she broke me off. I thought my life was over lol. There was a guy crappie fishing behind me and saw it all happy. He told me he was sorry and after I gained my composure I said well at least I got her to bite. Tied on another jig and caught one over 5. I got to the other end of the bank and flip my jig pick it up and it's heavy. Set the hook and once again felt like I was hung then I felt the head shake. This time I took my time when she rolled I knew she was another giant after a little battle I was able to net her. She weighed 10.2. I was so thankful to be able to get her after breaking a 10lb off on the same bank and there is no way it was the same fish. Good luck out there guys it's only going no to get better
