We had anniversary trip planned to camp out at CFP. Things didn't start off as we hoped because of the weather, but we made the most out of it. I was really surprised when we got up to make breakfast that the parking lot at CFP wasn't totally packed out. We started out fishing some familiar spots since my wife doesn't get a lot of time on the water. It didn't take her long to let me know she had one on the line. It came on 1/8 oz shakyhead with a watermelon with chartreuse tip. A few minutes later I about had my rod jerked out of my hands after a decent three pounder grabbed my jerkbait. Things started picking up. We fished some new water/places. Caught 35-40 bass on a jerkbait, shakyhead, a spinnerbait and a squarebill. I really wanted her to have a good trip and luckily Chickamauga cooperated. 90% of our fish came out of 5-6' of water. No giants but decent ones and a lot of fun.

On another note after the unexpected lack of traffic at the ramp on Saturday, Sunday was a completely different story. Woke to the parking lot packed out and several pros with wrapped boats fishing the area.

It was very hard to end the weekend after a day like Saturday but in the words of Sinatra "That's life".
