Frequent visitor and lurker on cff. Don't get to chickamauga very often, actually first time I have been in the spring. And what's the deal with the hydrilla?! Found a few areas with some good grass but many of the areas I have frog fished have none or really short growth. <br /><br />Anyway, thought I would post a report from an outsider. went ahead and drove to chickamauga and fished all day Friday. No issues at all with too many boats or being crowded (you guys should come to guntersville any day in the spring if you want to feel crowded!). Be careful, Lot of logs and debris in the main river and pretty dirty. Creeks looked pretty good. Managed 18 fish. Biggest was a 5 lb laregemouth and had a 3 lb plus spotted bass. but a bit disappointed with overall size, lots of dinks. but that's fishing sometimes. Crankbaits, chatterbaits, and Carolina rigs were the best in mouth of creeks and points. Fished between nuke and Harrison bay. Shallow bite was non-existent.
