Had a hookup with TubeDude semi-set up for today but he decided AF might offer better fishing... or maybe better company. We are still planning a hookup but won't be until the weather is right. I'm sure he will chime in with one of his usual reports later today.

I had a great day at Lincoln. Arrived at about 6:00 to a lonely launch. Water temps bounced between 64 and 65, seas were dead calm. I caught cats consistently all morning until I ran our of bait at about 9:00 (I had a lot of bait with me.) Had two poles with fish on at the same time. Cats are strong, fat, and feisty. Biggest of the day was a 28 incher, several in the 24-26 inch range. Used carp and wb for bait but carp was the favorite.

One other boat fishing near the launch for wb. They were picking up a few but catching was slow.

Windy weather coming so I'm out of business for a few days. As soon as the weather permits I'll be back after 'em.

BLK

Note color variation... gold to steel gray.

Good to hear you got after them again, wish you wouldn't use the W word, especially on weekends[frown]

Great post, looks like you had a lot of fun. My kids have been asking to go catch some fat cat fish.

Sounds like a good trip! And a 28" kitty to bump you up a little. Nice work. Those 30 and over cats seem harder to come by this year. The year is young though and the water should last. I saw today the the Provo is over 1000 cfs near the inlet. The lake ought to jump in the next week if that keeps up.

I am curious though, with all those carp you harvested, how do you run out of bait when the fish are biting?[Wink]

[#0000FF]Glad you had a good trip. I shoulda joined you. I also got a lot of cats at AF but there was a pesky south wind that kept the water bumpy. The bottom line on my sonar screen looked like a buck saw blade. Also, was hoping to get some white bass and/or walleyes. Lost one walleye but even the wading warriors weren't scoring any whities today.

Report later.
