I had the craziest thing happen to me fly fishing from my float tube today at chesterfield. I hooked into a nice fish that went into my backing. For me that isn't very often. The fish ran 3 times. On the 4 I felt it break and thought, shoot the fly line broke. I looked down to see my fly leader pull through my eyelets. I've fish almost my entire life and have never had that happen. so if anyone so happens to reel in some light blue fly fishing line I would appreciate it returned. the worst part about it is I just bought this for Christmas and have only used it half a dozen times. Oh and if the fish is still on there, I would be curious on the size. I'm thinking a 12 pounder. just kidding.
fishing report. I only landed 8 with 4 others lost for the few hours I was there. however I was very pleased with the sizes. not the old chesterfield from 4 to 5 years ago, but still some healthy fish.
