Yes it does, early in the morning is always best but they can be caught at other times, just usually not a fast.

I agree in general, but I have seen a few cases where the bite really picks up around noon - 1 pm. Unfortunately, that is when the wind usually picks up too.

as the season goes on the bite gets better and more consistent, but right now the bite is early and shallow . if you stick it out you can put fish in the boat through out the day .
