I have watched several good videos on fly fishing. You could rent them at video stores a few years ago. Now you may have to check places like Hooked for rentals. You are in the right direction if you recognisze that you can whip the fly line. You must pause in your back cast for a second or two to and let your line catch up before starting your forward cast. I know that it is not that simple, but it is a start.DKS

I believe james at hooked does fly fishing classes. I thought I even heard at one point he did guided trips.

Definitely James is the one to go to if you are close enough. Just pm HFT.

Actually I help teach a class at Davis High. The teachers name is Mike Navidomskis, the next set of classes start in about 6 weeks. He has 6 class room experiances and 3 trips to the river. I think I have his number on my web site.

I believe Fish Tech still teaches fly casting. They are in the Holladay area at 6200 S. Highland Dr. Their employees win a lot of the big contests. They know their stuff.
