As usual the weather man missed the forecast and after 45 minutes or so of rain it turned out to be a nice evening. We started out on a deeper spot and caught one or two small ones but with the wind blowing I thought they might eat well in the grass so we fished grass till dark and again only caught small fish throwing chatter baits and worms. Once it got dark we started bouncing around throwing big worms, jigs and spinner baits. The biggest fish came out of 12 foot of water on a worm and then another around 4lbs shortly after doing the same thing. We made one last stop about 1:30 and had one crush a blade which ended up being our second biggest which looked around 6lbs, made a cull and headed for weigh in. It was good to see everyone including some new faces I did not recognize, hopefully we can make it to one or two more this year.
