We decided to limit our run distance just in case the weather became severe. Ran to our first spot and fighting the wind for about ten minutes before the hard rains came. Dusty then caught several fish on a creature bait and a jig, and we had our first keeper in the boat. We stayed in the same general area and right after the rain ended I caught 4 fish, then hooked a large fish on a spinnerbait that came loose at the boat. Frustration eased when looking at the line I could see the slime left by catfish, which made me feel a little better. We kept hitting lighted docks, and finally caught our third keeper about 10pm. Worked hard and caught 15 total bass, but could not improve on our original keepers. Lost a final largemouth on spinnerbait 15 minutes before weigh in throwing out in middle of bay that came loose 10 feet from the boat.
All fish caught on SK worms, creature baits, and jigs.
