[#800000]I was fishing East Canyon the other day and using my downriggers at about 30 ft. I got a little close to the west side going south and the weight started dragging the bottom. I reeled in my tackle off that weight to check for debris and found none. I then brought the weight up to reattach and found a rod and reel hanging off the weight. I’m guessing from the condition of the film on it that it was probably lost overboard sometime in 2016. I can still read the brand/model information, but just barely.[/#800000]

[#800000]If you remember losing a rod/reel combo at East Canyon last year and can describe it to me in a PM, I’d be happy to return it to you. I’m sure a little tender, loving care and some lime scale remover would return it to like new condition. If I haven’t heard from anybody on it by this fall, I’ll clean it up and sell it.[/#800000]

I lost one up there in Dixie hollow last year. Problem is I can't remember what the rod was. I'm pretty sure it was an ugly stick with a shimano Sedona on it, but I honestly can't recall for sure. Either way, it's kinda like finders keepers. Now if you catch my HMG with a stradic on it, out of Powell- I want that sucker back. That one stung. That striper took a bare red hook hanging above the water off the side of the boat. Still can't believe that. At east canyon, I was helping my kid unhook a big ole bass and saw a 20" trout jumping like crazy...then realized he was hooked to my line and the pole was gonzo. I got over the loss pretty quick. If it's mine, I hope you clean it up and use the heck out of it. Good job on trying to find the owner.
