we had several rain storms in the last few days. There must have been lots of run off because the water is extremely murky and the moss is very bad. Hopefully it clears off in a week or so.
Fished Thursday for 4 hours and boated 1 fish and lost two others.

Were you trolling or bait fishing? What kind of fish did you catch?

I was trolling for Kokanee using downriggers. All the fish were kokanee. I am hoping to get back up there first of next week. Hopefully the lake has cleared back up by then.

I hope the tigers are willing tomorrow. We will be up there.

The only Tigers we've caught have been Jigging with a worm or a minnow, Nothing trolling.
There are tons of the little red side shiners. Take a minnow trap with you and you can fill up.

I won't be trolling. I will be jigging with tube jigs tipped with red sided shiners. I have my two minnow traps packed and my casting net (just in case) so that I can catch my bait for jigging.

Well good luck and let us know how you do.

I have been to Electric lake this year. For the life of me I cant understand how anyone could catch a trout there. The Red Shiners line the shores in clouds.
For all of the bait fish in this lake it seems like the trout should all be huge and that they should have no reason to every hit my rig when there are so many thousands of Shiners within striking distance.
Any ideas on why the trout don't all grow huge in this environment? And why aren't there more trout in the lake since there is such an amazing food supply?

You have to make your minnow stand out from the others.
