I should have known it was going to be tough weekend when I realized by BFT flag had blown off the boat on the way up to the Berry. Camped Thurs. - Monday with a beautiful view of the lake. Great weather, and finally some alone time with the wife. Good food and conversation. Fishing was slow but the fishermen were worse. So many don't know or even care about the rules of the road when it comes to boating. The prize came when on Sat. morning while launching the boat, the metal gangway collapsed as I tried to get on the dock. Dislocated the right shoulder, and had a large lump on the noggin and wet at 6:30 am at 47 degrees. As I tried to get up and laid on the dock, not 1 person (15-20 watching) asked if I was ok or if they could help. I was alone and eventually got underway. The "caring" folks here in Utah never disappoint! The one thing I enjoy is becoming less inviting with every trip. I know those reading this wouldn't leave someone hurt and just leave them alone to fend for themselves, but shame on those that did....

That's too bad about your circumstance, wish someone would have helped you. Glad it wasn't worse.

Sorry for your accident, but I have to tell you I was there and heard you fall then saw you laying on the dock. I had just launched the boat and had my grandkids in the boat and would never think about leaving them alone around water. Maybe you were dazed and , but several people asked you if you were ok and you seemed to get right up. I do not recall you asking for help or screaming out in pain, but I could be wrong. I am a transplant to Utah and find most of the people to be very caring and helpful, but I guess if you are looking for disappointment you will find it in most places.

i hope your feeling better to say you went down hard is a under statement, and i hope you are feeling better. i'm sorry you fell but my friend and i were at the courtesy dock in the white maxum and ask how you were doing you said you were ok but your shoulder hurt . if i could have gotten over to you i would have .
i think the night time visitors took the bolts out of the ramp and also vandalized the rest room , what is going on around that ramp at night is getting way out of hand .
