Hit DC Friday evening, found the last trailer spot. Goal was to finally produce a DC walleye. Very windy and lots natural and manmade waves made boat control tough for much bottom bouncing. Resorted to drifting and jigging. Had a hard time locating any sort of pattern. Tried the Provo channel, weeds, and rocks. Caught many smallmouth tossing jigs into wind blown rocks. One really nice 2-3lber. Night finally came and wind died down. Spent some time tossing glow jigs and finally produced a 13'' eye. Then proceeded to catch a bullhead, what an oddity out there. And another first was catching a perch long past dark. Our entertainment was watching a high speed pursuit of a motorcycle coming up from Provo with a cop on his tail, he took the road towards Wallsburg across the Provo bridge. Then about 20 min later he was seen zipping back towards Provo, this time with three police on his pursuit. I couldnt find a story about how it turned out. Great nite on a last minute plans, next week we are headed to Starvation again.

Good for you, sticking with it to get that first DC eye. Sounds like a busy place, if you got the last trailer spot. Sounds like a nice SM bass you got, were you using plastics on the jigs you were tossing or maybe a piece of crawler?

I was using a crawler, but started catching so many smallies I switched to plastic to save bait and fishing didnt slow down.
