Here in the south the bite is on strong this month. Creeks feeding into the rivers and swamp water feeding into the creeks are producing. Most guys flip here for bass, but I've been chucking Waves sweet potato pie Tiki-Stick worm. Real hard for me to change out. Best part is I'm all alone on the river. [cool]

Are you catching any bass over 2 lbs Gregg? Wonder why no one else is fishing there, are they busy with other pursuits?

Where exactly is the South? I just back from TN and Bama. It's getting chilly here in Utah now so the feed bags will be on.

I'm in NE corner of NC.

I stay off on the weekends, so I don't see many boats this time of year. White perch are running I'll see more during the week. My biggest bass here is 3 1/2 lb so far. they had a massive fish kill here about 8 years ago, slowly coming back. But mostly only a few bass boats cruising around. Catfish are not around as much this time of year here. At least I can't find them anymore.

Not sure what the water temp is there now but according to In-Fisherman mag, cats move to deeper water, as the water temps move down into the 50 degree range.

Water still in the 70's here at this time. But with the bass bite on, I'll be hitting the shallow water. I did notice the locals fishing the same waters as I was, so I guess I've found their honey areas. I'll be back Monday after a good day today. See my report on NC state site. [cool]

Wow thats a warm water temp, our water temps here are dropping into the 50's now, good for trout but not so good for the warm water fish. Could not see any report on the NC board[Wink].

Went out today and only got one hit. Water temp was 52. Saw a lot of wildlife getting busy for colder winter. I'll try again in Jan for winter stripers. Follow me on NC reports for whats happening in this great state. Have a Happy Christmas. Yea I said it, HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!
