Fished Lost Creek 9/30/17.
Id like to start by saying ARE THEY EVER GOING TO FIX THAT ROAD?!
I wonder if there is a way to volunteer to fill pot holes?
Anyway, We got to the lake @ 8am. flat line fishing with squids and dodgers, pink and orange with watermelon dodgers. started getting hits at 1.5 mph. Landed the first rainbow of the day about 10 min into fishing. Had a slight drizzle and the fishing picked up we caught 3 more. None of the fish were over 18 inch but all were healthy and a fun fight. Had to get off the lake when the lightning started. We ended with 4 caught and released. I had one bite that is the base of all fishing story's. It bent my pole in half to near braking point, I thought I had a snag until I saw the depth was 130 ish feet deep. started stripping line like mad and as fast as it started the fish was gone. I am happy to report I did not brake my line but I did lose the big one.
You've won this round fish, until next time....

Welcome to the site YJ, great report, thanks for sharing it with us. That road going into LC is a bad one for sure but at least they have done a little work on it the last few years or it would be even worse[crazy]. There are some huge fish in LC and over the years we have caught a few over 5 lbs. Our biggest is right at 8 lbs but the fish you caught are the norm there it seems. I'm going to move your post to the Utah board so some other members can say Hi and read your report.

Welcome to BFT, sounds like a fun trip... don't those big ones make it so much fun and so you can't wait to get back and try them again.... Also be careful what you wish for on the road conditions... If they fix the roads then the crowds will come and your great spots suddenly become over ran with paddle boarders and ski boats.... just saying sometimes hardship makes life better... Later J
