Fishing Forum

Fished from sun up until about 1 p.m. One fish in the boat...zero other bites. Tried trolling, spinning, jigging, without luck. Caught the one fish, a nice rainbow, dragging a worm on a jig.

The wind didn't help, nor did the moon I guess. Another boater loading up at the same time had the same results... except he never got a fish in the boat.

Even with the wind, waves, and slow fishing, it's a great way to spend a day.

Drove by RP on the way down from elk hunting and saw a few boats there. Haven't heard of many good reports there since Spring and early Summer. At least you got one fish, hope it picks up by ice fishing season.
