Been a long time lurker of the Utah forums for a while! Always enjoyed the photos and the reports and figured I might as well join since te fly fishing forum seems to be quite a bit smaller and needs some more active members!

I started fly fishing this year in March when a buddy invited me to go. Foul hooked one brown on the Lower Provo that day and it was enough that I had a rod and reel shipped to me 2 days later and a box of 10 zebra midges and asked my friend if I could borrow his waders and go with him again! It’s been a long, expensive, but exhilarating summer and fall season and I hope I can contribute to the Utah fly forum and maybe see some of you guys in the water!

Nice fish. How is that Loop Cross? My only complaint is between that rod, reel and line you’re going to turn fly fishing into a fashion show like road and mountain biking have become[Sad].

I’m loving the cross. I started with a redington vapen as my first rod and then I wanted a bit heavier rod so I got the 6wt 10’ to be a Stillwater rod and the vapen is my stream rod. To me a fly rod is a tool, not a fashion statement! It’s made for catching fish and that’s what it does!

Welcome! Great pictures. I'd just add I love that Sage 4200 series reel as well.
