I'm going out this Saturday, and thinking I will probably be able to find safe ice. However, I might change plans based on what knowledgeable advice I receive from all of you.

called the marina yesterday and they said the bays have ice and that there was some icefishing tacking place but the main part of the lake is still open they did not know how thick the ice is. she did say they have about 14in of snow and that the road past the marina is closed now.

We are happy to announce that we are officially OPEN for the season! Happy Holidays everyone.
SNOW REPORT: The Strawberry Valley has 15” of fresh snow. Just enough to start snowmobiling. One more good storm to cover the rest of the sage brush and we will be golden.
ICE REPORT: Ice has formed in the bays, but we aren’t seeing much growth. We will keep you posted with more updates as conditions change.

Fished strawberry this morning, we found a little ice just off highway 40 at the soldier creek side. Ice was about 4", fished in 25' water caught two cuts in 3 hours. From highway 40 all you can see is open water.
