It has rained something like four inches here in the last 24 hours. I woke up this morning to the lake being up 6 inches over night. Anyone worth their salt in bass fishing knows this is usually a great time to go after them. I have a neighbor who is about as stupid as I am about bass fishing and he wanted to go. Dropped the boat into the water, then the trolling motor, just can't beat living on the lake. emoTongue Within minutes I had two in the boat off a spinner bait. I knew then we were in for a fun morning.

The air temp was 37 but with the wind chill it felt more like 30. emoEek The bass did not seem to mind. Most of our bass came from less then 10 feet. Water temp was 51.7 to 52.6 where we went. Hit four places and caught bass in all four. Denise likes a jig, he stayed with that most of the time. Best one he boated was about 3 and a quarter. I rotated between a spinner bait and a shakey. Slow rolling a spinner bait around deep grass is a lot of fun. emoDance Best one I had was a little over four pounds. Our best five this morning was 15+ lbs which for around here is pretty good. Back to the house by noon for lunch!

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! emoParty Jmax
