so....we took a ride yesterday, thought the rain was going to let up mid morning...........well it didnt! thankful for good rain gear but still sucks cause it hampers running around and there was some funky low fog too. anyway, started out throwing a V-8 out in front of one of the bridges(crappie guys had the pilings covered up), had a few ticks but no hook ups(think they were white bass). fished some shallow grass, then fished some outside grass. then some more shallow grass, found a couple of isolated clumps of eel grass but nothing! fished through the edge and middle of a ditch running through a big flat off the river channel, nothing. tried to fish down a creek channel bluff but it was so choked up with floating eel grass we couldnt fish it effectively. went back to the outside edges of the grass and nothing. flipped a few docks, nothing. finally caught one(not even sure it was a keeper) on the V-8 off the corner of dock that had some brush out in front of it. UGH! tough day! gonna have to get my head right before saturday, thankfully getting to spend friday down there.
