Last Sunday(2.4) was the first time I have fished since September '17. finally got a chance to go last weekend. As I scanned over our second stop, I knew I was motoring over a pile of fish and bait. Current was at 30kCFS and water was 41-44. We had about an hour of some of the best fishing I have had in a while on this lake. The fish would knock the rod out of your hand, most hit the bait on the fall and if you missed one another would jump on it. It was crazy. we had about 20 keepers with the best 5 around 25# and the kicker going 7.8# on my scales.

This Sunday (2.11) Lake was a lot more stained and rolling at 55kCFS. We found water up to 49. Went to see if the pile was still there, and as expected they were gone. Not a mark on the graph. So we jumped around looking for similar areas and not long I stopped on a deep drop and busted the best of the day. when I went to weigh it the clamp on my scales broke, so I'm gonna guess 6lbs. It was very FAT! On another drop about an hour later I marked some scattered fish, and caught a 3 and 2.5r. That was it, I did cover several shallow bays to see if anything has moved up yet, but I didn't get a sniff. I spent the rest of the afternoon scanning around looking for another wad, but never found one. All of our fish came on hogfarmer rigs and single swim baits in 12-20ft. Just what a man needed after a long cold hunting season!
