HESPERIA LAKE: Trout fishing has been good on Power Bait, mini-jigs, or inflated nightcrawlers. The Drain, Finger Point, and the first cove have been the most consistent areas. The lake is stocked weekly on Fridays with fish to 9-0, although most fish are from 1-0 to 3-0. Royace Harris, Victorville, landed an 8-8 rainbow on Power Bait from Lake Two. Paul Wood, Apple Valley, took a 7-10 using Power Bait. Brian Pettyfer, Apple Valley, pulled in a 7-10 also on Power Bait. Matt Crase, Hesperia, landed a couple of nice catfish on trout guts.
