I was there 2 weeks ago and I don’t know the names of the places in the lake so I’ll do my best on describing what I found. I launched at the oasis boat launch I believe is what it’s called and went over by the dam. The water temp was 47 and it was between 45-49 feet deep. In front of the the boat launch it was about 35 fow. 75 yards from shore and just north of boat dock it was about 21 fow. I drove directly east of boat dock to the other side to see how how deep it was over there and it was about 14 fow 50 yards from shore.
As far as fishing it sucked. Nothingwas biting. 2 other boaters said the same thing as us. We all tried everything in the tackle box and nothing wanted to bite, not even the perch. The fish finder was loaded with fish from the bottom to the top all day but they just didn’t want to eat. But that was 2 weeks ago. This was 100 yards north of the boat launch south to the dam. We tried trolling and anchoring. The only thing I wished I had was anchovies. I hope that helps a little bit.

Larry Dahlberg of "Hunt for Big Fish" TV fame has made numerous statements in his years of chasing Pike and Muskie up north that on cold spring days he looks for pike/muskie in the clearest and shallowest water with some depth near by, calmest water, most sun exposed shores as possible, and mid to late in the day when the fish have absorbed a little of the extra heat.
I don't know how many of those things would help you at Yuba, but I would try to find conditions with as many of those things as possible.
Thanks for the info just what I needed to hear. I,ll wait for the water to warm up a little. I will post the results when I go. Thanks again.
