Took my tube out to the west side this morning hoping to catch dinner. Guess Skunk is on the menu. Fought the wind for a couple hours without a bump. I did get to watch DWR pulling nets. Very interesting. Every time they'd pull up a cat, they'd hold it up and make fun of me. Nice guys.

I stopped and talked to DWR by the ramps at the south marina Tuesday. Guess they are collecting walleye for eggs to use at the hatchery.
I managed to get my first Willard fish for the year that day. I did really force the issue with the fish for her to cooperate. Funny how much more compliant carp get with an arrow in their side [

Hopefully the water will warm up here soon and lines and lures will be more successful than strings and arrows.

Must have had it for over 20 years now. Creeks too much for 4 legged critters but big scales don't know what hit em. A lot of carp have left the Willard ecosystem due to that old thing.

So the DWR does have a sense of humor. LOL!!
