Got to the lake at Lincoln beach about 1100 and it was a an overcast day with just a little wind. There were only 2 other trucks with trailers in the parking lot. The temp in the marina was only 47.8 degrees. We headed out to the slough which the temp was 49.4 degrees, to see if we could get a kitty early or even a carp as my kids were wanting to see what one looked like. But after 30 minutes of nothing we headed to bird island. When we got out there the sun poked it warming head through and it was a beautiful day after that. The temp out there was also 49.2-50.3 degrees depending on where we were at. We were out there for 1.5 hours and my 7 year old managed to catch about a 23" cat but he was the only one. We headed over just north of the L for about 30 more minutes before the kids decided they had enough fun. So we headed back before they got to restless. It was an enjoyable day regardless that we only caught one fish.
