I got out on Wheeler Lake this past Saturday and even with the freezing windy conditions the fish were still hitting. The bite was a little slower than normal but with the hard weather conditions we went in with low expectations but ended up having a very productive day. The lake was and still is down about a foot and was also a little stained. With better weather conditions ahead Wheeler should get back to normal and the water level should be up to full pool by the end of the month. Have some fun! Mike Carter
