Decided to head to CFP early evening for a few hours. After waiting along with several other pissed off boaters for Brandon Lester and another boater to move their boats from the front of the ramp so we could unload, we got into the water and immediately headed to some deep water docks. Within the first 30 minutes, I lost at least five fish on a creature bait. I would love to blame the high winds, but instead I attribute it to a twitchy trigger finger type hookset. Finally, I boated a 2.5 pounder on a creature bait. Five minutes later, Dusty boated a 4 pounder on a medium crankbait. As soon as he boated, it seemed like we got on a roll. We quickly went from 3 fish for 8 pounds to 3 fish close to 12 pounds. Dusty ended up the night catching another 4+ fish on a chatterbait while I caught several 3+ on creature baits. Finally, after boating 15 or so fish we called it a night around 10:15 or so.
All fish caught in 8-12 FOW in 62.5 to 64 degree temps. Fish caught on Missile Baits, Chatterbaits, and Crankbaits.
