Super hi baro and not a cloud on the horizon. 11:30 to 6p. Hit my best stuff at hi noon and only had one good bump but no hook ups. Was contemplating putting the rig back on the trailer when- Wham! Set the hook and heard that familiar "zeet" from my reel. Then cranking against an already tight drag with nothing but slip so, you try to hold rod tension as you step backward while bumping you star drag. Then you start gaining on the fish and a giant trys tail walking right at you- got her in the boat but then went another 5 hours without even a bump. At 5:30 i hit a few more keeper chunks. 6Pm. They wore me out. Went to the house.
