This Memorial Day weekend is one I don't want to keep the memories of but they are forever fried in. It started out late Friday afternoon when a motorcycle at a high rate of speed hit a vehicle that turned into his path onto HI89 from 2000N in Harrisville. I didn't see the actual incident but I was there within a minute after it happen and could see the results. The biker that was on the crotch rocket died at the scene. Next about 3:30am the following morning a group of 4 individuals went on a car shopping spree on my street. 3 doors down from my house a car was stolen but ran out of gas in front of my house. I have security cameras set up around my parameter and was able to see 3 individuals get out of this car going back to transport vehicle. 2 doors down 2 vehicles were stolen from the same driveway in which one was recovered later that morning but the other was gonzo. Those 3 vehicles were noted by owners that they had left the keys in ignitions. My camera showed an individual getting into my Dodge Nitro scattering items that was in the center console & glove box. I keep nothing of value in my vehicles but when they didn't find any keys they abandon the thief job. My truck was also parked next to the Nitro but was locked up. I failed to lock my Nitro which on occasion I go into the forgetful mode. I'm going to install a ignition kill switch on the 2 vehicles I keep parked outside. There was no forced entry into my Nitro. Next on the same camera I could see the individual checking the door of the F150 next door but didn't force their way in. They could have easily gained access to the garage with garage openers available so I started utilizing the lockout button. These thieves were ready to make a destructive joyride. As I was going thru police reports and showing the video of which I have on 3 cameras I get a call from my sister in law that my brother passed away 2hrs earlier. This was expected but I didn't think it was going to be this fast since finding out a week ago. As they say things happen in 3's. Now I need some hydro-therapy time on a watering hole somewhere.
