Took advantage of free Fishing day today and visited the connected lakes area of the James M Robb Colorado river state park. It was slow Fishing this morning. Threw almost everything at them I had in my bag. All except the cranks. Too much grass and weeds to be effective. I ended up catching a nice largemouth bass and a crappie on a small red sparkle and chartreuse tube jig. Lots of small minnows present. Saw a nice bluegill come to the surface while I was there as well. Great day to get out.
