My wife doesn't fish yet. So I gave her some of those Panther Martin Swimbaits. She asked what the heck she is going to do with them and gave them back to me. I thanked here and told her that I love her for giving me a really nice gift on V-day.
I may get her a bass boat for her B-day. hee hee.

I was down at Wal-Mart in Layton this afternoon getting my wife and myself some gifts, she got me what I wanted and I got her what she wanted. I was looking at some rods and reels that I heard were on sale, all the cheap ones were gone but I got a good combo for $12.00. It is a Berkley cherrywood combo 6' medium action rod with a berkley cherrywood spinning reel. They have a bunch of rods on sale in two buckets near the counter, one of the rods is a Finwick medium action 6 or 6.5 footer. They have it priced at $15.00, so I ask the sale clerk about it and he said they had made a mistake and it should not be in the sale bin but since they already marked down, they were going to leave it there. He showed me the pole rack where the exact rod was $49.99, so for anyone that is looking for a good deal on a Finwick, you better get down there, it was the only one they had for that price. WH2

It sure is amazing the prices they have on fishing equipment if you check at just the right time of the year. By the way, I got that reel swapped over and I tried it Saturday, other than it being so cold that the reel froze up, it worked fine after the sun came up and it warmed up. Thanks again. WH2

My girl bought be a new tackle box system that holds several single boxes and is really easy to carry. I was surprised because she does not know alot about fishing. Then I asked her to marry me later that night. It was a great valentines day.

The Wallys World by my house if famous for stuff like that. My son bought me a Bday present from there. It as a Saltwater Bait Caster combo that was marked down. It had a $90 rod and $70 Penn reel. After verifying the price of $30 with them the sales clerk told me if I thought it was too expensive then I should have gone somewhere else. I told her that the price was fine and that if by chance they had another one. They only had one more left at that price. hee heee.
My wife got one for a belated Valentines present. Didn't want it so my son kept it.
