We didn't get on the water as early as I would have liked. But we has plenty bait from our trip to AF last month. Headed straight out to the island from LB. Several other boats out there. Weather got quite warm quickly but I think because of the last few nights of clear skies and near full moon, the big cats were laying on the bottom digesting what they ate all night. I got one 11 or 12 inch Bullhead, no photo. The wife boated 2 nice eatin size channel cats but since they weren't big enough to bump her one "out of team area" 24 incher, she released both. No photos. I had one 5 minute episode of adrenalin pumping, drag stripping tug fest with biggest Cat I've managed to boat all year. It hit my medium duty rod that has 8 lb. mono and had to let it run awhile before bringing it to the net. But got it netted and in the boat. Felt a lot bigger than it turned out, but posted on the contest site anyway. Big head and heavy body, but not quite the 36 incher I wanted to poach from BLK and ice_sled. Enjoyed the day anyway [fishin]

Was wondering if it was Saturday, because three boats fished the southwest corner of the island for most of the afternoon, so they must have been catching some fish.
