Wife and I went up to the Bird Refuge Sunday. Was too windy to put the boat on any of the lakes we usually fish. Had a short "how goes it" with Ahi1953. I caught 1 smallish carp and released. Didn't go prepared to keep any cut bait. And 1 baby mud cat in what seems to be the standard size of 7". Mate had to carry the skunk home. [:/]

After getting my truck serviced this morning, made a trip to Willard for a late morning 1100 ish arrival. Trolled some but wind was just a bit too much, anchored in a couple spots and bobbed in the waves while washing some mussels. Today I got to carry home that stinky little critter.....[:/]

NWS is saying that the weather in the UL / BI area should be fair, calm to light winds, and warm for tomorrow. Oldest son and I heading that way. Hope to be on the water by 730. [fishon]

I drove out to Lincoln to see the sights and pick up a carp or two for tomorrow. A bit windy at daylight but calmed down about 6:30. One boat at the island and another at the springs. Murderwd one huge carp but could not find a wb.

Will watch for you tomorrow... got a feeling tomorrow is MY day but will save a couple of smallish ones for you.

Good luck.

Lynn, was good to see you again. less than 20 minutes on the water, boated a white bass. Cut up for bait and about an hour later brought in first Cat.
Score for the day, 3 White Bass , 3 Channel Cats for me. My son had to take the skunk today. Funny thing, as we were leaving, there was a road kill skunk in the road going up out of the parking area. [laugh]
Not sure if the Cats I caught were the ones you were leaving for me, but if Jeff can read the photo I post on the contest page, the very first Cat will bump me a 1/2 inch. Bump off the 26 inch from UL last trip with a 26.5 inch this trip. Was a big male with lots of head and attitude, but not real long. Oh well next time.....[Wink]
