Iam looking for ideas ,I got a 1992 Bayliner that I took the fold down seats out of and I need ideas for taking the bases out, as they are part of the floor . Any pictures would be helpful .TIA.

I had a 98' Bayliner I did same exact thing. I was able to peel carpet back and cut box frames as close to the bottom as possible. Installed a piece of 3/4" marine plywood as a new base to mount the new pedestal and seat to. By keeping a piece of the old frame attached made it easy having a flat piece to mount to. It opened up a lot of room in that boat.

I had an '86 bayliner and converted it for general/bass fishing. Similar to your second picture, I removed the back to back seat combination, but retained the base mount because it was solid.
I installed a hinged door or lid on the top of the base. It doubled as good storage area and an elevated platform for bass fishing. I installed the kind of seat bases that accept the pin type seat pedestals. These can be easily installed or removed as needed. Did a similar conversion on the drivers side. Also, removed the open bow seats up front and installed a wood and carpeted floor, a bow mount trolling motor, and another removable seat.
I sold the bayliner a few years back, but it served us well for many Lake Powell bass fishing trips.
Good luck, hope this gives you some ideas to ponder. Any mods you do can be easily carpeted with marine carpet for a nice finished look.

I am doing carpet and seats in a 1989 bayliner. Haven't decided on seats but have been looking at after market bayliner seats. Your pedestal setup sounds like a great option, I want more floor room. Do you have photos of your pedestal seats?

Check any cabela s or bass pro shops for Springfield or similar pin type pedestals and mounts. Sorry no pictures since I don't have the boat anymore.

I bought 2 of the Cabelas pro seats and mounted them to the top of the bases and was thinking of hinging the tops for more storage .

If you decide you want it cut down flush with the floor, and just mount a pedestal on the floor (opening up walking room) go buy one of those oscillating multi-tools. The $15 one from Harbor Freight does a decent job. They allow you to cut right down to the level floor and can cut through wood, metal, plastic, etc.
