I haven't been to lost creek and would like to give it a try. I have a 17' boat and would be fishing from it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. How is the launch ramp. Are there any fees to launch or use the facilities. Are there rest rooms, and of course how is the fishing. Any other input would be great.

I have a 17' boat that I launch there without problem, but there is no courtesy or wedge dock - so plan on getting a little wet. There is a toilet near the top of the one-lane launch ramp. Getting to the lake is THE challenge. The road between Croydon and the lake is a gawd-awful pot-holed mess. Take it slow and pay close attention to the road, so you don't lose vehicle or trailer wheels and suspension. Fishing is hit or miss - like anywhere else. I caught a bunch of planter bows on my last outing there about a month ago, but have had great days in the past catching nice cutts, with the potential for splake and tigers. I usually troll with a variety of gear, but have done particularly well on deep flies (buggers, leeches, etc.) and flasher/hoochie (squid) rigs.

BTW - I plan on being there this coming Sunday morning.
