[#800000]Arrived a little after 8 AM. We were the first boat on the water. The water is lower than I've ever seen that body of water. There is about 15 feet (or less) of concrete ramp still under water. The h[#800000]olding dock is still in the water.[/#800000][/#800000]

[#800000]We trolled until about 11:30 AM and caught 5 perch that were all under 6 inches long. We also caught 3 large mouth bass with the biggest going MAYBE 6" also. Water temp was about 64 and air temp was 48 at launch and 74 at noon. No wind to speak of all morning. Great day to be fishing; lousy day to be catching. We had fish on the graph 100% of the time. We tried squid/dodger combinations in a wide variety of colors and several different color patterns of Rapalas. Perch/bass hit them but nary a trout was to be caught.[/#800000]

[#0000FF]A classic case of justifiable grump. My condolences. But if 'twerent for the occasional downer the uppers would not be as sweet. At least that is what I tell myself under similar circumstances. But I never listen to what I tell myself anyway.[/#0000FF]

[#0000FF]Would you believe I have never fished Hyrum...soft water or hard. Not much incentive to change that with your report.

Wow that's not what I'd expect this time of year... I was just thinking I needed to go try there, but maybe I'll wait a bit... Thanks for the report.. J

You can always stay home Bob, better fish when the opportunity arises!

I fished on 9/10 and caught about 8 bass. LOTS of bites from smaller fish that couldn't swallow my senko or craw. The biggest bass was about 1.4 lbs and the others were about 7-12". I had a good day, but I was targeting bass.

Yep, I can sympathize with those feelings. Its hard to please all 3 of me personally, I, Me, & Myself. Don't forget to add "Humble" to the list. [Wink]

never fished Hyrum..........? Huh............ well even when it's full, its no great loss to not fish it. Takes fewer big boats to set up a never ending wake than Willard, but there always seems to be just as many on the water.

Hyrum certainly gets lower than it is this year. I fished this morning- on the water at 7. 1 other boat came out trolling. We fished small gulps.
Kept 7 good trout , 12 or so gills and over 60 perch. 1 at 12 1/2 and fat. I have no clue on how many bass from 5 inch to 10".
Never left the spot we first cut the motor at.
