Just got back from my Wyoming elk hunt. I was fortunate enough to take an incredibly old bull. We aged him at 10 plus and I pulled a tooth to have the Wyoming biologist age it to confirm but his teeth were worn down to nubs. I imagine he only had one or 2 more winters left.

Wow, that is really a nice bull Todd, what did it score?

Great bull!!!! Awesome job on a really neat bull. My wife drew a San Juan Muzzy tag and her bull had hardly any teeth at all including only one small ivory. The Biologist aged him at 16. Pretty awesome to take an old mature bull elk. Way to go!

Not sure Curt as I'm really not a numbers guy. I feel like the score kinda detracts from what I consider a big bull sometimes.

Thanks buddy and congrats to your wife. I won't be surprised at all if this bull ends up being 12+. Hoping to get in contact with a biologist over there to send the tooth.

That's a great looking bull.

The experience should always out weigh the score in my opinion.

Definitely, but he'll make some great burger and sausage....

Thanks buddy...

I couldn't agree more with you. We shouldn't need a number to tell us whether we have a "trophy" or not. A big bull is a big bull no matter what the number.
